Festive runners

A slightly quiet autumn in terms of getting horses to the racecourse, so it was lovely to have a couple of runners over the Christmas period.

Carnaross went to Sedgefield on Boxing Day, finishing a respectable 6th (of 13) in a 2m1f handicap hurdle on his first run in just over a year. It was great to have him back on a racecourse and we look forward to getting him out again soon, whether over hurdles again or a return to fences.

More Madness ran at Wetherby today in a 3m handicap hurdle, on ground that was attritional (no fault of the racecourse, definitely extraordinary winter weather to blame!) and finished 5th (of 11 runners). He has an entry at Catterick on New Year’s Day so depending on how he is tomorrow, he may well go again on a quick turnaround.

Ross Turner, our Conditional, gave both horses a lovely ride and we look forward to seeing what 2017 brings!
