Our two runners did the yard proud today at Hexham.
First up, Smadynium won the opening race of the day in good style for owner Chris Nuttall of the Brough Farm Racing Partnership.
Led up by Elise Meadow-Wright (her 1st time at the races so a strike rate of 1 out of 1 for Elise!) and ridden by our Conditional, Ross Turner, Smadynium was always handy and kicked on well when the pace increased in the latter stages of the race. Jumping fluently throughout, and only headed briefly once, he belied his place in the betting and won readily by 2 lengths.
More Madness then ran his ever consistent race under Henry (Brooke) for owner Robert Bennett to finish a close 3rd, and sixteen lengths clear of the rest of the field in the 2m7f handicap hurdle.
Well done to both horses and everyone connected with them.
Exciting times for Julia & the team with the recent arrival at Brough Farm of three young Bumper horses.
We are delighted to have all three promising youngsters in the yard and look forward to preparing them to start their racing careers in the months to come.
