Is Winter finally over…..?

At the risk of making it snow (!) by referring to the sunshine that has been warming the horses and drying the ground nicely, it has felt like Spring this week.

The unfeasibly heavy ground has resulted in a really disappointing number of runners in recent times but the horses that have got to the racecourse have acquitted themselves well and we are looking forward to better conditions meaning more runners over the coming months. Fortunately our Owners have been most patient and we value their continued support.

Ross Turner joined the yard recently and now holds both an Apprentice & Conditional Licence so we intend to make the most of him over both codes. He has had a couple of rides over hurdles now on Smadynium and Raid Stane, and is a young jockey who we are looking forward to progressing.
